Privacy notice
This notice explains how DSC Drafter and dscdrafter.com use personal data.
Who we are
Ben Garcia, trading as DSC Drafter, is the data controller. Contact: hello@dscdrafter.com.
Data we use
Account and licence
We use your name, email address, password, licence details, a hashed device identifier and computer name to create your account, activate and validate your licence, and apply its device limit. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you. This information is required to create an account and use a licensed copy of the app.
Usage statistics
If enabled, the app sends your email address, licence and hashed device identifiers, session identifier, app and Windows version, whether the app was active in each two-minute period, and counts of tools, menu commands and panels used. We use this to improve the app. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in developing and maintaining the product. This is optional and does not affect use of the app. You can object by turning this off in File → Preferences → Privacy.
Crash and freeze reports
If enabled, reports may include technical information about the app, Windows and device, the computer name, recent warning or error messages, and a crash memory dump. We use them to diagnose and fix faults. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining reliable software. This is optional and does not affect use of the app. You can object by turning this off in File → Preferences → Privacy.
Updates, cloud library and website
When you use the website, check for updates or download cloud-library content, our hosts receive your IP address and standard request information. If you contact us, we use the name, email address, role, current software and message you provide to reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website and services, and answering enquiries. A name, email address and message are required for us to reply to a contact-form enquiry.

We use these processors to provide the services above:

| Sentry | Crash and freeze reports | EU data region (Germany) |
| IONOS | Licence server, usage-statistics database, website and contact-form hosting | UK / EU |

Keygen receives data in the United States. We protect that transfer using a UK-approved transfer safeguard: the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the provider's standard contractual clauses or the UK-US data bridge, as applicable.

Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, email hello@dscdrafter.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
The app automatically checks whether a licence is valid and within its device limit to provide the licence. We do not make other automated decisions or profiling that have legal or similarly significant effects.
